If your tenant has received a payment reminder even though they have an active mandate from Betalingsservice it is mostly likely an issue on the tenant's end.
There are three reasons why a tenant can have received a payment reminder in spite of having set up Betalingsservice:
- They set up Betalingsservice too late in the month and will have the pay through a normal bank transfer the frist month. Next month should be automatic through Betalingsservice. If the tenant doesn't pay this month they will be charged double next month.
- The payment has been annulled by the tenant. The tenant has 10 days to annul any payment through Betalingsservice. Proper cannot see why, only that is has happened.
- The payment has been annulled by the tenant's bank. The bank also has 10 days to annul a payment on behalf of a tenants if they perhaps do not have sufficient funds on their accounts. Proper cannot see why, only that it happened.
If a payment has been annulled the tenants will automatically through Proper receive a payment overview with payment information and a payment reminder two days after it has been sent.
