Tenants will automatically get deducted from their bank account when the recurring bill is due. We also include rent adjustments or any other changes to the bills so your tenant won’t have to do anything.
Set-up Betalingsservice
To activate Betalingsservice simply contact support@helloproper.com. Our team will help you through the configuration which includes an agreement with Leverandørservice and Proper.

When can I start?
You can start utilising Betalingsservice from the second month that the tenancy is managed on Proper. Be aware that due to the automation Proper offers, the service requires a due date for the bills of the first of the month.

How do Betalingsservice bills work with Proper?
Payment service bills are paid automatically on the due date. Proper sends the payment request to the tenant's bank 7 bankdays before the due date, so it is important that the collection amount is correct before then.
Can I make changes to a bill sent with Betalingsservice?
Up until 7 bankdays before the due date, you can make changes to the bill yourself, even after it has been sent. You can follow our guide here to see how you can edit a bill after it has been sent.
Once the bill has been locked (7 bankdays before the due date), no further changes can be made to the bill until the charge has been collected. This is because Proper has to send the payment request to Betalingsservice. Once the payment request has been sent to Betalingsservice, the charge cannot be stopped or changed, unless the tenant rejects the charge.
If you need to change the bill, you can do so after the due date has passed. Proper's support team can unlock the sent bill, which can then be charged retrospectively or reimbursed with a credit note.
