If there are no bills for one of your tenants, it is likely due to one of three reasons:
-
The bill for the period has already been sent. When you go into Rent, it always shows you the next payment period. If you are looking at a lease after the bill has been sent but before the payment date, there will be no bills for the given period.
Go to the overview of the tenants to see if the bill appears there. The bills appear in the overview in the period between the tenants receives them and the bills are charged. Afterwards, the bills will appear under Transactions.
To see if there are future charges, click on the drop-down menu where the month appears. Click on the month in order to see what will be charged. If there is a blue dot, then there is a bill.
-
The lease has ended. If there is an end-date for the lease there will not automatically be any charges for the tenant. If it is a mistake, you can remove the end date and the repeated charges from before the lease was ended will continue. You also have the opportunity to charge a tenant even though the lease has ended. Click here to see how to end a lease on the platform.
- The lease is new and the rent has not been set up yet. Click here to start adding charges: How do I add a charge to a bill?
